From Our Director
Federal Election 2010
During the early stages of the 2010 Federal Election campaign, most of the big issues have a housing focus – from housing supply, affordability and regional city infrastructure to skills, immigration and business compliance. These are key issues for HIA members, for our industry and for the nation.

As part of the lead up to the 2010 Federal Election on August 21st, HIA has put a series of questions to the three main parties – Labor, the Coalition and the Greens. The questions canvass a wide range of issues of significance to our members and our industry. The questions raised cover subjects including housing affordability, infrastructure, immigration, the environment, taxation, contracting, regulation and their commitment to home ownership and a housing portfolio. HIA will inform members of the outcomes of the questions prior to the election date.
