Paying Employees for Wet Weather
Employees who were 'rained out' of work as a result of this week's heavy rain, still have rights for payment of wages under the Building and Construction General Onsite Award 2010. Please view the attached HIA Wet Weather Calendar for this award. HIA-BlueScope Solutions in Steel Award
Do you projects use steel in sustainable or innovative ways?
HIA and BlueScope are searching for Solutions in Steel – residential projects that showcase outstanding quality, contemporary design and practical application of steel in their construction.
This Award will be presented as part of the 2012 Australian Housing Awards.

HIA GreenSmart™ Professional Course
The GreenSmart Professional Training Course is a two-day workshop designed to equip participants with the skills for designing, building and selling environmentally sustainable housing.
You may be able to receive funding of $330 towards the cost of the course. Now only $360 for two days including lunch, this represents excellent value and an opportunity to up-skill yourself and your staff.
The Green Building Skills Initiative is a joint initiative between Construction Skills Queensland and the Queensland Government.
