This month, the industry celebrates the much anticipated launch of the enhanced essastone range, bringing visionary design direction to decorative stone surfaces with a sophisticated new palette of designs combining with inviting textures.

The new essastone range showcases 20 designs uniquely crafted to seamlessly integrate into Australian interiors and satisfy emerging trends. Offering the enduring appeal of up to 95 percent natural quartz, the broader design selection is guaranteed to deliver visual impact and resilience in both vertical and horizontal applications, including domestic and commercial kitchen benchtops, waterfall ends, tables, islands and bathroom vanities.

Backed by an exceptional 15-year limited warranty, essastone surfaces have a remarkable level of scuff and abrasion resistance. They are available in 20mm and 30mm thick sheets (dependent on local availability) that can be easily fabricated to suit design requirements.

One clear choice for wet area paneling Laminex has streamlined its Wet Area Panelling - Laminex Aquapanel® - to address the unique design and practicality requirements of wet areas. The range also features six new decors, bringing the total Aquapanel collection to 30.

Ideal for both vertical and horizontal applications, Laminex Aquapanel surfaces are easy to install, with a coordinated fixing system enabling perfect integrated joins without the need for grouting. The non-porous, durable surfaces mean the polished look will endure the challenging environment of any commercial and residential interior space, a promise reinforced with a seven-year limited warranty.

A major challenge faced by builders and specifiers with interior projects is finding the right materials to create an overall look where colours and finishes skillfully work together across every element of the design. With this in mind, Laminex has just launched the newest addition to the Laminex product portfolio, Laminex® Silk Finish™, which makes it easier than ever to overcome these challenges and craft integrated surface design solutions.

Laminex Silk Finish is an innovative range of decorated panels that offers a contemporary gloss finish with high definition colour clarity.

The range combines a refreshing use of colour with the functional aspects of decorated panels, making it ideal for use in both domestic and commercial interiors on drawers, doors, vertical panels, breakfast bars and shop fittings. There are six decors available, hand-picked to reflect contemporary colour trends and to coordinate seamlessly with other products from the Laminex Colour Palette.

What’s more, Laminex Silk Finish is custom-designed to complement the popular decors of Laminex Vinyl doors, meaning doors and panels can be effortlessly packaged to provide matching gloss vertical surfaces.

Supported by a seven year limited warranty, Laminex Silk Finish is available in a 2400mm x 1200mm x 16mm/18mm MR MDF and is complemented by colour coordinated gloss ABS edging.

New dimensions in colour choice

With more than 60 years in the Australian market, Formica is globally recognised as providing adaptable, accessible and fashionable surface solutions. March 2010 brings the introduction of 15 stylish new colours to its already extensive colour palette, expanding the choice to 175 colours.

The variety of colours featured in the latest update adds a new dimension to the Formica Colour Collection, embracing Australia’s emerging design trends and ensuring there is a surface to complement any interior design scheme.
