2009 Tasmanian Kitchen Project of the Year
This kitchen was installed into a converted warehouse. The kitchen was to be part of the large space while at the same time having its own identity. It needed to be bold yet blend into the open plan room.
The kitchen was divided into two parts – the scullery and the main. The scullery was hidden from view and used for food preparation and storage. The main kitchen was where visual appeal and innovative design came to the fore creating a space that was both pleasing to the eye and practical. Colour, unique storage ideas, balance and symmetry were used with striking success. Vinyl wrap and stained veneer doors with stone benchtops created a stylish, modern kitchen with simple yet interesting lines.

2009 Central Victoria/Mildura Regional Renovations/Additions of the Year
Hollytree Cottage is one of the original weatherboard farmhouses on the outskirts of Daylesford.
The challenge for the builder was to add an open plan extension and upgrade the interior to current living standards whilst preserving the charm of the distressed Victorian structure. The brief called for a modern design that referred to Australian vernacular country design and materials.
