Going Solar with Stratco

Stratco's Michael Stenhouse said solid growth prospects for solar products coupled with unmet demand made the company's decision to go 'solar' relatively simple.

"The renewable energy market is one that will continue to grow and fits in well with our existing roofing and building product range, so it made sense to develop a product which was increasing in demand," Michael said.

"Consumers are looking more and more for green products and solar hot water and photovoltaic (PV) systems are now routinely installed in new homes.

"Solarcore's evacuated glass collector tubes are so efficient they can collect heat from the sunlight during cool, windy and overcast conditions," Michael said.

Solarcore has been designed and manufactured to all relevant Australian standards and Stratco recommends installation by qualified installers only. Government rebates still apply for solar hot water systems.

Austral Bricks

What noise?

Do your clients ask you for a solution for creating a home environment where they can control the amount of noise from traffic, phones, noisy conversations and blaring music they are exposed to? Austral Brick has a solution and it can be as simple as building in full brick.

According to Natalie Frendo, Austral Bricks NSW marketing manager, a passively designed full brick home provides the safety, protection and the privacy we all desire. High densities of bricks block soundwaves from passing through walls and the space between the two layers of brick acts as added insurance, trapping any additional noise within the bubble of air that is formed inside the cavity.
